Desmond Poulart stands out from his classmates by of his large, penetrating eyes, which seem to contain deep knowledge beyond his years. Born into a liberal environment she was not reprimanded for his numerous conversations he claims to be having with angels. Although he did not talk until age 4, as a toddler, he was often seen sitting in the backyard humming and pantomiming complicated patterns.
Worried by this strange behavior, he underwent extensive medical testing and was finally diagnosed as being autistic.
Contrary to the conventional autistic symptom, Desmond displayed great love for humans and animals, often cuddling and hugging spontaneously. And although his speaking abilities developed relatively late, his parents felt a strong sense of communication with their angelic offspring.

Like many other Crystal Children he seems to need few sleep, has a great love for animals and seems to be able to communicate with unseen entities and angels. It is suggested that they may be reincarnated Lemurians who are arriving en masse to raise the bar on human behavior and create a more peaceable world.
It is believed they are the second generation of a new kind of human, the first being The Indigo Children.
