Jorge Poulart was born a middle son in the high-pressure Poulart family. He, however, was not as successful as his more famous older brothers, Antonio and Juan Carlos. His father had made a good income as the collector of taxes. Given a figure that he had to collect, Roberto Poulart paid that amount back to Spain, and then kept whatever tax monies he collected.
He passed this position on to Jorge who, unfortunately, was not able to make the success of it that his father had. This was partly due to the fact that he held the responsibility at a time of economic downturn. The amount he was able to collect being significantly less than the amount he had to pay, he was forced to sell some of his wife's inherited property to make up the difference. So, while Antonio and Juan Carlos' fortunes waxed, Jorge's waned. Much to the displeasure of his wife’s uncles, who saw their brother’s fortune being squandered away. Although they were familiar with his extrovert and selfish life-style they did not intervene out of pity with their niece and continued supplying Jorge with ever more increasing funds. Because of his conduct and his position as a collector of taxes he also managed to become the most hated man in town. There was no further investigation when we was found slain to death in the desert of Jalisco.
