Felipe Vieuroux
was born so late that his mother had almost forgotten she was still
carrying a child. There are no official documents of his existence because
his father was late inscribing the boy’s birth at the local municipality.
Alledgedly he had his first sexual experience at the age of 34, presumably
because he was always an hour late for dates. On many occasions he seemed
to have been fired for a multitude of odd jobs because here too he had
a habit of being late. When, as a train conductor, he had missed his
own train for the 4th time, he joined the army. Here he became the least
popular soldier since he was always the last to show up at the calling
of the roll. But because World War II was raging and his country needed
all available men he was not sent away. He finally died when during
a jump at the battle of Arnhem he was late opening his parachute.
